Looted Wagons

here are some photographs of my looted wagons together:

 

the most vigilant of you will have noticed that i swapped 2 turrets around midway. Don’t believe me? look for yourself!

Looted wagon no.3

my third looted wagon with a bomgun. this one was originally a second hand leman russ demolisher . i removed the turret (for another project) and took the turret from a hellhound. removed the heavy flamer, and replaced it with a normal leman russ battle kannon. removed the sponson weapons, then the sponsons themselves. put them both on one side. built up a firing platform. added a magnetised spot on the railing for a big shoota. orkified the lascannon in the hull, changing it to a “gatlin” style big shoota. armour plated and battle damaged the whole thing.  also added a bunker style “vision slit”  next to the front big shoota to break up the profile more. added a killa kan engine i had lying around to the back. added a crate of shootas (not glued on) onto the firing platform (can be removed to put orks on if i want to model orks hitchin’ a ride.)

Looted wagon no.2

Well, my mate James over at Priest of Khaine gave me an imperial Chimera to “test my orky skillz on”
he wasn’t dissapointed!

i started by removing those pesky lasguns, then got an earthshaker kannon, shortened it, turned it on its side and magnetised it to the chimera body. to finish the turret i put some sighting equipment ontop of it and added a strip of holed plasticard around the muzzle.After that i piled up junk on one side and added glyphs and armour plates around it. i magnetised a doser blade to the front, then finally added one more magnet, spot just behind the impaled space marine head on the left. I always try to add a magnet spot as you can then add and remove upgrades like grot riggers or grabbing claws with ease.

here you can see the junk spread over the body, as well as being able to make out the earthshaker cannon more easily.

Finally a side shot of the wagon, with the improvised “gun shield” effect =-D

Looted wagon no.1

here is the first looted wagon which i made.I magnetised the main weapon and a side spot for a grot rigger, extra big shoota.

I hollowed out the back of the baslisk body and extended it for troop transport:

i was loosely hoping for a “destroyer tank hunter” look, so i draped the basilisk shield over the front and magnetised a leman russ battle cannon where the earthshaker would poke out. then i orkified the whole thing, making sure to break up the profile of it furthur by adding piles of wreckage chained to the side.
